RESOURCES

A thoughtful place for tools that support healing, insight, and growth.

Therapy is where the deeper work unfolds, and at times, additional resources can be helpful between sessions. Whether you are managing anxiety, building new habits, or simply trying to sleep a little better. Below you’ll find a short list of apps and widely respected books that many clients and clinicians find supportive when navigating trauma and emotional health.

These resources are shared for educational and supportive purposes only and are not a substitute for therapy or individualized care. Not every resource is the right fit for every person, so we encourage you to use what feels supportive and discuss any questions with your therapist.

A therapy approach that looks beneath the surface

Healing often requires more than simply talking through problems. Many emotional patterns are connected to how the brain and body respond to stress and past experiences. Dr. Hernandez integrates several evidence-based approaches in her work, including Brainspotting, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), psychodynamic therapy, somatic approaches, mindfulness-based therapies, and relational therapy. These methods help clients explore not only their thoughts and behaviors, but also the deeper emotional and nervous system patterns that influence how they feel, react, and relate to others. The goal of therapy is to support meaningful, lasting change rather than temporary relief.
